web_remel_derrickWe are still on a Spiritual High after the 2014 annual Minda St. Singing Extravaganza held in conjunction with the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Minda St. Church of Christ. We were privileged to have Musical artists from all over the country. Our guest ensemble was Revelation from Orlando, FL. The performance by the featured group Revelation was contemporary, but it was drenched in the Black Gospel tradition, and many of their songs spoke to the struggles of everyday life, and submitted God as the answer to challenges of life. The Hanging Moss Chorus from Jackson, MS came all the way from the Magnolia state with a message of hope, and resolute conviction in the Almighty God. The Minda St. Choruses were there, and magnified the Lord in such a way that the effects are still being felt today. We were also blessed with two gifted worship leaders, Rayshan Booker and Paul Williams. They led us to the throne of Worship, and helped us maintain the Spirit of Worship for the whole weekend with poignant songs. One of the highlights of the Singing Extravaganza was the premiere of the Music Video, IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM. The script, which was written masterfully written by Bro. Fred Famble, perfectly highlighted the message of the song, which was written by Bro. Thurmond Metters, and has now been performed and presented around the country. This year’s Singing Extravaganza will go down in the history as the BEST YET!
